Default New guy from N.Y.

Hi guys, my name is David Farrell and i'm from Leicester N.Y.( pronounced lester!!??)
I'm just getting ready to start my next project and it is a Vennom Nova from Promax . The # 16 on my user name is from the cars body and chassis #16.
At this moment I am not sure what power plant is going into the car, originally I purchased a 396/325hp big block for it, we deburred the block and heads and sent it to the speed shop basically just to put it back close to stock. Rick from the speed shop said it was a virgin motor and suggested not to go crazy with it,so i took his word for it and i kept it simple. I like horsepower so the 396 will probablly go on a stand and i'm looking into a 572 crate motor , but i want to go EFI. The last two cars i had had automatics so I want to go with a Tremec 5 speed , just for something different. The car will support a strange center section with 3.50gr. Colors for the car will be one of the following; a) Black b) Black on top with HOK lime time green below the belt line c) HOK Tangelo orange on top with Silver under the belt line.
Interior will be in a light cream leather. Windows will also be smoked. Gauges will be from Auto-Meter NV gauges. This is really the best site out there, there seems to be loads of knowledge here so i will probablly lean on you guys for tech support. I am open to any suggestions on my build (i.e. colors powerplant combos...) I posted a few pics of the car also. The blue 62 Ford Fairlane was my previous car that i had sold to buy the Nova , it had a 500hp 351W Roller motor in it C6 4200 stall rev man body. I am very proud of the car also so I thought I would share it with you guys. It was in Car Craft twice and on the cover of last Oct. Summit catalog. Will put more pics up as soon as i get rolling.Oh bodywork will be done by my good freinds Randy & Floyd Scott@ Scott Bros. Customs. They are the ones who turned me on to this site.
Dave

Give it a try, Dave.

The size limit for uploading attachments is around 138 kb, and that usually ends up being about 500x375 depending on pic quality.

If you have any problems, you can send them to me and I'll resize them for you.

Dave, thanks for posting pics of your project, it looks killer! A 572 would be wicked. Can't wait to see it all come together.

As for your ideas on colors, I instantly thought of Ryan's project:

Welcome. Where are you more specifically? I'm near New Paltz, NY.

I was at Carlisle last summer when the Year 1 Promax pulled up. Gave me chills. I believe it,too, has a 572.
