Some Fun in Reno... Reno-Fernley Raceway that is...
So a couple of weeks ago Rodger from Ironworks and I were fortunate enough to spend the weekend at the Reno-Fernley Raceway which is a really challenging 4 plus mile long road course in the middle of the desert.. Something like 23 corners and 30 plus apexes and 150ish feet of elevation change. I'll work on getting some pictures up soon but for now here are some short videos that will give you some idea what it was like...
Orientation on Saturday in SplitterVision
A little different perspective...
Faster on Sunday
And to give you an idea how hard tha ATS/SpeedTech suspension was working
This was a performance driving school put on by the NorCal UFO club and we were fortunate to have Fast Mary Pozzi as our instructor for the weekend.

Yeah - there were three straights where we were in triple digits. I was tickling the rev limiter in 4th at the end of the front straight and could have gone to fifth but the car felt better in the S's in fourth so I gave up some speed there. With 3.73's the gearing would have been perfect.
Here is the track map for the day:
and one of the pics that Mary snapped before the rain moved in on Saturday...
We had some interesting conversations with the GM of the track - hopefully we'll be back next year.
