Default NSANE Hot Rodz presents project (MINI ME)

No its not a Camaro, its a 72' Honda. Before the owner delivered the car today I had no idea they made Honda's in 1972? This is the most unusual project I've ever had the chance to build. Yes it was delivered on his lawn mower trailer. Dewayne

That's AWESOME!!! I had a '74 for a while. Thing ran like a champ. Mine was a former racer but no idea in what series. Just before I sold it, I found out the head gasket was blown. NO IDEA!!! Just kept running and running and running. Fun little car. What are the plans for this one?

Not real sure yet. The owner wants to get it disassembled and blasted this week. I'll keep you informed as we go. Thanks

I like those cars. I worked as a tech at a Honda dealer for a few years. There was one old guy that would bring one in once in a great while. The Honda dealer was owned by a Chevy dealer. One of the other techs said that in 72 they had a promotion that if you bought a 72 Chevy truck they'd give you a Honda 600. The Honda is so small they put one in the back off a truck as a display lol. Apparently the mark up on the truck was higher than what it cost the dealer for the Honda.

We're still trying to decide which engine to go with. I'll have that answer next week. It should fun to drive! Everyone that comes in the shop goes straight for the Honda.

Sweet project! I love those old Hondas. I vote for a 'busa engine. Maybe turn it 90-degrees under the hood and run a driveshaft to a narrowed IRS, tubbed out with 275's or something!

I have a rendering around somewhere that I was experimenting with. All the above, minus the 'busa motor, and it was a coupe. I still dream of doing it someday...

The owner is really wanting to keep the 10" wheels on the car I think the rims are 3.5" wide. We'll see what happens in the next few weeks.
