My favorites: (in order)

Intercity Lines
Reliable
Exotic

This is assuming you're talking about moving a nice car in an enclosed trailer.. if you are looking for open then there are less expensive options.

X2. Good service was right on time and called when picked up, night before delivery, few hours before arrival....a little pricey over average transporters but i thought it was worth it.

Depends how nice of a car it is you are transporting, but I will say this, I used www.uship.com to ship my nova out to Indiana, and it worked out awesome.

It's a message forum style site, where you, the customer, posts up what you want to ship, and shippers bid for your business. Since my Nova was not painted, and just needed to get out there, I used it and it was CHEAP.

But when its done, and ready to come back, I'll be using Intercity or Reliable. Or I might go pick it up myself, LOL.

Just don't call this guy - car might show up with a few bullet holes and contraband in the trunk....

I just recently used a large company that brokers their shipments. My car was delivered by an individual who owns his own truck. His name was Radu, and the truck he owns is a very nice enclosed that runs nationwide. I have his cell # on hand, but I don't have his card with all information(at work now). His number is (253)732-8170, and here's a picture of his truck when he dropped my car off :

He was very professional, insured, kept me posted of his location and projected delivery time, and was easy to get in touch with when I needed to call him. He also seemed to be carrying a variety of muscle car and exotics, so he was particular with how he handled the car. You can also save yourself a few bucks over the brokers fees !

I'll be glad to get the rest of his info if you need it. I will use this guy and recommend him from now on.

I bought and transported a car about a month ago from TX to TN... used Ready Auto Transport (RATmoves.com). They did an excellent job... I used an open trailer rather than enclosed. Was less than $1 per mile, if I remember correct. You can get on their site and get a free quote.
