Default 1969 Camaro Restored Pro Touring Shell

1969 Camaro - Pro Touring Project Shell
DSE Mini Tubes
Shaved Drip Rail & Custom Molded Rear Spoiler
Relocated Rear Leaf Springs
Black w. Graphite Stripes
Smoothed Firewall

Body was fully restored prior to being sent to body shop for final fit and paint. Unfortunately the shop that painted the car did not give me the $10k paint job that I paid for. The gaps need adjustment, paint needs final wet sanding and removal of runs in clear. Stripes are under clear but were not masked perfectly. There are flaws in the stripes as well as some flaws in the paint. Could easily be stripped down and repainted to have a great shell.

Body would be great for pro touring or build into a race car. Although it was fully painted it did not come out high quality and therefore I have chosen to build another car for my 427 LSx Twin Turbo setup. Body does not have any rust or rot, all metal work appears to have been done nicely and could be built as it is or repainted if desired.

VIN for the car has disappeared - the hidden vins are still on the body but I do not have a title for it. Could use as a donor body or use title service to obtain replacement title. If it is built into race car a title would not be needed. I will supply a bill of sale for the car and when I had the hidden vin run it did not come back as stolen or any other problem.

Car is located in Schaumburg, Il. Will sell as a roller with steel wheels and stock subframe and 10 bolt. Wheels shown in pictures are not included.

Asking $10,500.00 for the shell. PM me if you are interested or have any questions.

VIN is on the body - both hidden vins are still on it. The VIN plate is missing from the dash. This disappeared at one of the body shops the car was at.

I had the hidden VINs run and came back clean without issues. Could be used as a donor shell or apply for new title from title service. If used for offroad race car a vin would not be needed.

Just wondering how do you have a vin run when you don't have the whole vin? The hidden vin is only the last part of the number. Plus in the state of IL you need to have a title to sell a car, also if the secretary of state police see that the vin has been removed then they would impound the car, ask me how I know this. And before everyone jumps on me I am only talking about in IL, I do not know what the laws are in other states but I know for sure in IL. If I were you I would make sure I have the bill of sale from from who I bought the car and then you can have the Secretary of State Police inspect the car and issue an new vin for it. Again ask me how I know . Not trying to be a d!ck just trying to NOT see someone else have to go through what I did. Good luck with the sale. Also where in Schaumburg? I'm over there all the time.

I am from NY - the car is just in storage in Il. I am aware that you guys have some very strict laws in Il.

I know that the hidden vins are just partial - we ran both the 123 and the 124 version of the hidden vin and they both came back clear.

For anyone that bought the car - it is probably easiest to get a new vin and title issued. We have some bodies restored in Washington and there the process is simple and very fast. Alot of states the process is very fast - after an short inspection they issue a new vin number and title. Most title services could also get a replacement for the car as well.
