Default Mary Pozzi Takes 5th at OUSCI

H-Team lady and driver extraordinaire, Mary Pozzi and her newly modified second-gen Camaro are making a big splash in the news!

At the Optima Batteries – 2011 Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational (OUSCI) she raced her Camaro hard on the road course, autocross, and speed/stop challenge. In a field of 50 of the top street cars and drivers, she came in 5th place overall and second place in the autocross challenge (only bested by a modified late-model Z06 Corvette). Mary Pozzi’s driving skill and her modified Camaro with Hotchkis suspension (including the latest Hotchkis 3-link rear suspension) put on an outstanding performance at OUSCI 2011!

While we’re on the topic of OUSCI 2011, we can’t leave out H-Team member Dan Weishaar and his big bad ’68 Road Runner. He was one of the unsuspecting “Golden Ticket” winners at SEMA to receive a last minute invitation to the event and had a great time competing with other Hotchkis H-Team members. He ran great on the road course, autocross, and speed/stop challenge considering this was his first time to Spring Mountain and he's running a full-size B-body. In a field of 50 of the top street cars and drivers, Dan showed the crowd that Mopar’s have what it takes!

The second bit of news is that you can drive Mary Pozzi’s Camaro and you can drive it like you stole it!

At SEMA 2011 she won the Best of Show in the 9th annual Gran Turismo awards. Her car will be computer modeled and available as a driving option in the Gran Turismo game, so everyone on the planet will have a chance to drive the heck out of her Hotchkis-equipped, 620hp LS-powered, carbon fiber-shod, event-winning Camaro.

Mary and her newly modified Camaro also landed a great feature article on SpeedHunters.com.

5th is very respectful amongst the competition that was out there this year but I'm pretty sure she'll do better next time around
