Default Aluminum front clip question

I'm considering aluminum front clip parts and I'm wondering how durable these parts are. Do they dent easily? I have no experience with them and I am just curious.

This subject has come up before and I get a little leary discussing the subject due to possibly irritating the vendors that carry and sell this product but the truth is that they are pretty fragile.

When I first put the front clip on and had the car painted I dropped my motor in and then placed fender covers on the fenders to work in the engine bay. When I was done I pulled the fender covers off I noticed slight creases on the tops from leaning on them.

After my first track day with them I noticed little dimples from gravel and tire marbles that had kicked up underneath from the tires and got through where I had cut the wheel wells.

Not to say I would not by them again because I love the weight savings and will most likely pick up another set some day but If you due choose to buy them I would consider under coating the underneath of them and when working on your engine be careful not to lean on them too hard.

Good feedback G... I was hoping you would would chime in as I've thought of this as a possible future mod as well.

What is the actual weight savings?
