Default Could your Camaro take the new ZL1?

hypothetical question: could you or another driver in your car beat the 7.41 second lap time the 2012 ZL1 Camaro just ran at the Nurburgring?

fine print- "this is a form of publicity to let everyone know that the new zr1 camaro did a lap at nurburgring of 7.41"

It's possible, just not as easy as many would think. Modern performance cars like the ZR1 and ZL1 work very well.

The next question would be, if so, how many laps in a row without overheating the oil, brake fluid, coolant, diff, ps fluid, etc.?

Yup. find it kind of funny that they only have one post and this is it?

Is GM that desperate?

I think the answer is yes..... The only one qualified to answer that question is Mark.

I do love these hypotheticals....I ask them all the time.

I think that 7:41 is a bit of a ringer time...a cage & racing seats really do wonders. But it's also VERY impressive that it pushed over 4000lbs around in that time. The MR suspension can really shine on a course like the 'ring.

With properly tuned spring/shock rates, I have no doubt there are cars on here that are more capable on track than a ZL1.
