Default mini tub and g-link lower mount question

I am ready to order my g-link and mini tubs from Chassis Works, on my 68 Camaro, but I have read that to run a 335 tire I will have to remove the factory leaf spring bracket on the rearend and install the other type. Is this true or can the factory bracket be used. I am using using the factory 12 bolt right now and would prefer to keep from molesting it since it may be replaced in the future.

Hi,
Fitting a 335 under a 67-68 fender is going to be really snug. Yes, to fit that much tire you will have to move the lower control arm bracket inward 2" per side. That equates to 41.5" outside to outside on the brackets. If you follow the mini-tub instructions correctly, that is what the inside tub to tub dimension should be.

If you have any questions about the install, don't hesitate to call us. We are a surprisingly small office so once in a while you may have to leave a message but we will ALWAYS get back to you.

All the factory brackets must be cut off in order to weld on the G-Link brackets.

That was what I was afraid of, but is not a really big deal to take care of. So I need to be sure to order those lower links, was hoping to not have to but since I want that 335 I will just have to alter it. I could order a new rearend and sell this one but the funds just aren't available right now.
