Default HELP...need advice before 12 noon (PST)!!!

I have put off my wheel order until noon today...I need your advice:

Can I run 17x8" (5" b/s) all the way around on a '69 Camaro that sits pretty low?
235/45 & 255/45 tires...

PLEASE....any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Regards,

John

John,

The most offset that I have seen work is 4 7/8" on a 17x8 rim on a 69 camaro. I have 4 3/4" on mine with a 245/45/17 tire.

You didn't say what time zone

The 5" BS I can't personally vouch for. I have 245/50 front and 255/50 rear but in 16" rims with 4.5 " BS on my lowered 69.

Go with the 4 3/4 BS. you should be fine there. Also you can go with a wider rim in the back like a 9 or 9.5"

Sorry...PST...20 minutes away!

I'm thinking 4 3/4" b/s all around with 235/45 & 255/45's

I should be safe there...don't you guys think?

Thanks again!

John

John,

I need to clarify. The 4.750" BS is on my front rims only. They are 17x8. The rear are 17x9.5 and 5.500" BS.

After much research and debate,I decided to go with the following:

8's (4 3/4" b/s) all-around
235/45 frt 255/45 rear

This combo should bolt right on without interference issues.

$1731 delivered to my door from www.newstalgiawheels.com

Thanks for all your help guys...now I just gotta wait the 6-10 weeks it'll take to get them built & delivered!

Oh,I'm sorry...didn't I mention that?

I ordered the exact same ones I've got now...except in a bigger size.

American Racing 200S (polished lip/machine gray centers)

Period-correct style wheels with a modern twist is the look I'm trying to achieve.
