I have stock height bushings with a DSE subframe, the trans is hitting the tunnel right in front of seam where the firewall meets the floor pan. I guess I'll start cutting til I get to 3' down angle. I wasn't too impressed with American Powertrain, I called for a quote on the trans and the bellhousing and all the salesman did was try to talk me into buying a bunch of other parts I already have. He said he'd call me right back with a price but never did. You'd think in this economy they'd sell me what I want when I'm standing there with money in hand? I found the best deal @ Autoplicity.com, called Summit and they beat it. I had it in 3 days, done.

I just cut my tunnel all the way from the firewall to the back edge of the shifter plate, then about 1 down on the sides, If a guy cut it real nice you may be able to put a 2" piece of strap around the edges to raise it back up, I think it's just easier to cut it all the way out and start over, good luck
