Default Trying to get some ideas..need input

So I just picked up this 69 Camaro and was thinking I want to make some changes. What im really thinking about is getting rid of the chrome moldings and having them powdercoated black. Not sure what to do with the bumpers. I pulled of the buper guards because i thought they are ugly. I was thinking about painting the bumpers the same silver as the body but Im not sure if thats a good idea with the bolts and chipping issues. Then finally getting to the wheels..they are way too blingy'. I really dont want to spend a bunch of money buying new ones so I was thinking about getting those powder coated or ceramic coated as well. Dont know if I should do the whole wheel or tape off the loops? Colors? Any ideas would be great..thanks guys

Well just looking at it, I would start with the trim. First if you want to get rid of the chrome I would buy new bumpers that are not chromed (no chipping) and I believe I've seen that you can get them smoothed already? Then either paint or powder coat them, now what color, I think if you go with the same silver it might get lost on the bumpers, but the window trim would look good as it would contrast against the blue. The bumpers and centers of the wheels would look good the same color but again I think would get lost, the wheels the same silver as the sides would not look any different other then not at blingy! Maybe some kind of titanium color for the trim and bumpers, but then your looking at three different colors and now you start to look to busy maybe a rendering or someone can photo chop it for you to give a better idea. Or you could lose the silver altogether paint it all blue thad then do the rest in another color??? Ok so now I really confused you didn't I

I don't think that will go well with the colors you have there. Believe it or not, those black pieces would be all you would see with the Blue and Silver Body.

One suggestion would be to take the window trim and bumpers and have them glass beaded. It will give them a matte silver finish that will be ok to take care of. The glass bead will not strip the chrome and the window trim is stainless. If you don't like it, you have a great base for paint or powder coat. I would leave the wheels alone until you get the trim and bumpers the way you like. Good luck!

Don't do matte black, did I mention that?
