Custom belly pans

With all of the hi-tech products being produced for our cars, I'm surprised that a company has not come out with a 1/2 or full underbody bellypan yet. Especially for the 1st Gen Camaro crowd...it's shocking that ya'll don't have this yet seeing that every new product that comes out is designed for the dam cars!! I do realize that the many k-members, engines, tranny's, etc may be a reason as to why there isn't one. Or, is it even justifyable (spelling?) for getting better aero on the track?
I'm asking because my 2010 Mercury Milan daily driver has a plastic partial bellypan covering the front bottom of the car when I changed my oil for the first time. The thing gets 30mpg and I'm sure this aids in aero and mileage. Just wondering.

Scott Mock and I will be developing a system for the next build I will be starting in the spring of this coming year... The system won't be a belly pan for existing 2nd gen floors but rather an integrated replacement to the stock floor & a belly pan system.. We will be chasing that part of the equation on the bottom side of the car pretty hard in that next build...

Belly pans can aid or possibly hinder air current flows through the radiator and engine bay. I'm betting your Milan has one to aid air flow through the radiator. Adding one to a vehicle should be done carefully if it's going to go under the engine bay. Last thing you want is to build air pressure under the hood in the engine bay. That will create lift at higher speeds and cause cooling issues by stopping air flow. They look badass though So I say make it happen if you can.

We've owned several new volkswagens over the past 10 years and they all come stock with engine bay undertrays. The one on the wife's Passat has 4 naca ducts molded into the tray to move air around the engine and exhaust system.

Just wondering what the improvement will be with a typical 69 Camaro with and without the pan and if it's worth the trouble. That and a front diffuser would help. Anyone make a detachable front diffuser like the 2000 Mustang Cobra R?
