Yesterday I got a call from my dad that my sister passed
We were close, but she lived near Seattle on Vashon Island so I didn't get to see her much. I admit, I took for granted that she'd be around for a long time and hadn't spoke to her for a couple of weeks maybe a month.. I'm OK and staying strong for what my father is going through......
Today I learned that my best and life long friend may only have a year to live. I'm not bringing this up for sympathy !! I posted this to remind us to take a minute and hug, call or go see a loved one or friend... They maybe gone before you know it (knock on wood)
RIP Maryanna 1953-2013
Get well ASAP Paul

Accelerating is optional...........stopping is mandatory. Your car WILL stop one way or another.
One of my favorite clients was supposed to meet me out at SEMA to walk the show and for dinner as we did every year we both made it out for the show. I spoke to him about 3 weeks before and we were making arrangements. Less than a week later I get a phone call from his number late at night which was very unusual for him. It was one of his family members calling to tell me he had passed away. He was in his early 60's and had laid down for an afternoon nap and never woke up.
That one has really gotten me thinking over the last few months. Although he wasn't the bastion of healthy living there was no indication that had anyone concerned. It was a shock to everyone in his life.
