Default DSE 600 steering box and a 2000 transam power steering hose question.

Is there any better option for hoses for this steering box other than the one Detroit speed offers. Don't get me wrong. I have 80% Detroit speed parts and I really like the quality. Is there any other option that is less than $150.

600 steering box and I have a power steering unit off a 2002 trans am.

I have heard / read issues with these hoses. Can anyone chime in.

Again no bashing on DSE. Just looking for a different alternative that maybe cheaper.

you can make your own hoses. Did the 600 come with -6 fittings? You can buy the pump pressure fittings and hoses here.

One thing that I have done in the past is go to your local industrial hose shop and have them make you a line. They are high quality and usually very reasonable. I have also used them to make braided fuel line. Good luck.
