Default 70 Chevelle backspacing

Hey all i did some searching and need some input

On my 70 Chevelle I found a set of rims with the following size 17x9.5, 5x4.75 with 4.75'' bs. I know the ideal backspace should be 5-5.5" but will the 3/4" make enough of a difference that i will rub in the rear with a 1" lowering spring?

The tire size is: 275/40/17

Thanks.

No, I doubt it very seriously with a 17" tire. It should fit with no problems. A 17" tire isn't that tall, so you should be fine.
