Default Vfn and glass tech fiberglass fitment

I am wondering if anyone has any experience using glass tech or vfn hoods and bumpers. I am expecting body work I'm just curious, how bad they will be.

I have used both in the past, Glasstex always had better fitment then VFN. They are both local to me so it was nice to not have to ship a hood.

Think of it like this, if you have a bolt on cowl hood from each, you would spend almost double the time on the VFN compaired to the Glasstex hood. As for bumpers think of race car parts, function over fitment, they look the part but that's about it.

VFN hoods are very thin and light weight for racing. Not good for a show car as they twist in the heat.

I have used Glastek Hoods. I have used other fiberglass hoods over the years .And Glastek hoods seem to take the least amount of work.

Don't forget about Harwood. They make a nice fiberglass hood.

Start at post #277, he has a VFN hood and I don't think he is too happy.

We had similar problems with the hood on the 57. It also delaminated itself
