Definitely caught me by surprise.

I think that's what they mean when they say 'winning ugly'.

That's the Farm truck from the new show on Discovery channel, Street Outlaws. They say they are the fastest street cars in the nation with a list of who's fastest from one to ten. Farm truck is number 10 on the list.

Lengthy discussion about it (the show) over on the other site. I'm impressed by the quickness/ugliness of the truck but not by the premise. Shows them going out on the weekend nights and racking up a bunch of "kills" for pocket money. Their ideal target is/are young kids with slightly hopped up cars and very little driving experience. Public streets with traffic. I would very much like to see a news report where they were arrested and their vehicle was impounded and crushed. Most of the other vehicles on the show are out and out drag cars, trailered in to an abandoned area and raced.

Yes, I street raced as a young man. Yes, a few of my friends were injured and I have seen 3 people killed during a street race. YMMV.

I think his view is based on that they are basically bring in a full blown race car and targeting the younger rookie driver.

Since I struck a nerve, I'll be a little more clear...
I'm saying at 18 I made mistakes. I should have had my butt kicked up around my neck. I was lucky that nothing bad happened to me and I grew up. These are men in their 30s and 40s with families acting like giant ego teenagers.

I bet you, if you saw the footage on the show of the truck whipping in and out of traffic WOT, you would not think they were the "cool kids".

I do not believe that is how any of the Lat-G members enjoy their cars.

So much controversy.
I had no idea this truck had its own show or thread at the other site. Bump into it in youtube.
Is that all you need to get on tv

Lets not read to much into it, 1 million ways to look at the same thing.

That's what grudge or street racing is all about. And yes it should take place at a race track for safety reasons.

That farm truck has been around for ever
