Default Picking an alternator

Ok stock alternators arent holding up lol, how do i know what size alternator i need? 100 140 or 160 amp, is there such thing as running to much amperage? The cars been rewired with a painless harness and has a 2000 watt sterio which is what is killing the alternators in the first place, any help would be appreciated

Default Alternator

7 years after you asked this question I'm wondering what you went with? I'm having the same issue, so wanted to check.
