The only way to go
Balancing your bottom end is probably the most important thing to do! The only down side to doing this is the price, you will only ever benefit from it. Your engine will perform smoother throughout the rev range, it will rev easier & quicker, you could hold it on the rev limiter all day long without a problem. Most of all the life expectancy of the engine will be dramatically longer.
As for your valve spring, a stronger spring than stock is beneficial especially when your in the higher rev range. If your using any sort of performance camshaft then stronger springs are a must.
Once you've balanced your bottom end, then it's time to get your engine breathing, in & out, get your head flow tested & then your camshaft which tells it when to breath and for how long & those are the ingredients to any bullet proof engine!!
