Default Brake kit Camaro 67

Hello,
I have a Camaro 67, disc brakes in the front and drum breaks in the rear.
It's my sixth year with the car and its in really good condition. And every year I update something.
This year it about brakes. I have always liked wilwood brakes, but that's actually most for the looks of it. I have been absolutely shure that those brakes is going on my car. After calling some of few dealers here in Sweden that has them I was just... Confused.
So I need help!
First things first:
The car is first of all a cruiser on sunny days...and to be clear: it's Sweden! Not California. The sunny days is so rare so when it do shines people almost get stressed out
What I mean is that it's not exactly a daily driver. More cruising and meet/show.

BUT I still don't want to just put on something for the looks. When suspenison and brakes are completed I may want to put in a bigger engine. so if I'm doing this brake Upgrade, then it's gonna be good and stand up for 500hp if so.

I'm the rear I have the 8,2" 10 bolt axel, from factory, no diff. And it's here somewhere everything is getting hard.
Option 1: put in a diff and make this 10 bolt an update. (This is were I'm at now in my thoughts)
Option 2:build on something else like ford 9" etc.
As for shocks and springs I have hotckis multi leaf drop springs with red koni shocks (and a it turned out to be a completely new car... Amazing)
In the front there is Hotchkis springs. Everything else is stock.
But I also have plans here. I thought of doing the guldstrand mod but I don't know how easy it is right now. But i don't know if this would be an issue for the brake question though (I have stock spindles on).

The goal with the car: have a nice streetcar with a good feeling on the road (or track?) that also turns some heads on people once and while but also that have the details for a closer look.

So, wilwood? I like the 6 piston look in the front. Just for the looks. I'm pretty shure I would be satisfied with 4 piston when it comes to driving. But since I am a narcissist that likes attention, we need to remember the looks
I'm not necessarily updating both front and rear this year depending on what everything cost. This is gonna be expensive however I do so. Just the import charges is pretty much.
But is there any wilwood kit here that I should stay away from? There are maaaany options. One thing here that I find difficult is the change of offset?

I also emailed Tobin at kore3 since I see a lot of people mention him/them in several forums. And that is absolutely an option for me to go with there corvette brakes.

Baer is nice but out of my league I think. I'm not THAT cool

And then we have the cpp big wheel brake kit. And we'll, couldn't complain about the price. But in general you get what you pay for... With that sad I don't mean it's bad stuff. You also pay for a brand and profile, some people don't give a sh*t about that. Good for them, sounds easy living. But I'm not that person

Feel free to give me any input! I'm not an expert at all. But I don't rush into things and I'm really thankful and glad for every new stuff and experiences I can learn!

What wheels are you currently running or planning to run with the new brakes?

Welcome to Lateral-G.

Ah, even how much details you give there is always something missing.
18" right now and I like that. But I like the option over a 17" with a little more rubber sometimes to. So I don't now if I'm prepared to lock my self to to 18"...

And thank you!

Super clean and smooth looking car you have there. And I think 18"s are perfect on it.

Ok...so you've been talking to Corbin at KORE3. If it where me, I'd would be looking at the C5/C6 setup he has. I had basically the same setup on a 67 a few years back and it was awesome. My buddy Jeff runs it on his 68 and it will stop on a dime...or whatever the Swedish equivalent of a dime is. Both Jeffs car and my old one have the ATS spindles on them. A wonderful upgrade. I'm sure Blake and the crew at Speedtech will be happy to set you up with a pair. Corbin might also be able to supply them.

Hope this helps a bit.

Thank you! A dime is pretty much the same size here
Yeah I looked in the speedtech catalog actually after reading around a little bit here. I'm looking for a long term solution that looks nice. Even if the looks is important it need to be a "good investment" that makes the handling and driving better and also IF I want 500hp (or... Off course I WANT) in the future the brakes AND the steering need to be good enough.
Thanks for the input!

Sounds like you are on the right track. It's important to have a goal in mind and to stick to that goal. It sounds like the main thing you want is a solid and fun driver that performs and allows for a bit of future growth. Well....I've had that car AND I'm driving that car. My red 67 "The Bucket" had the setup I mentioned and and the ATS spindles. It also had aluminum bushings in the rear. It was powered by a decent SB350 and had a T-56 6 speed behind it. I LOVED driving that car and a lot of guys that came to visit said it was a build level that would more than satisfy them. Of course we all want more. LoL Right now I am storing my buddy Jeff's cars (JWcarguy) while he builds a shop. Of course the car has to be taken out and driven every now and then for "safety reasons". Jeff brake and suspension setup is a lot like what I had though he has the addition of the Hotchkis TVS kit in the rear. It also has a built L76 that's pushing 560hp. It's just silly fun. Honestly, if I where to build one that I would drive to and from work (and the weather is nice enough here that I could), it would have this suspension setup in it.

Looking forward to seeing what you do.

Jeff's 68 is the blue one on the right.

This was "The Bucket".

If and when you go big keep in mind you will have to have wheels designed to clear the larger calipers.

The advantage of C5/C6 is replacement parts and pads are easy to find and relatively inexpensive compared to Wilwood and Baer.
