Default Supercharger New or Used?

I am considering a supercharger purchase for my LS motor. There are a few used ones out there and I wanted to see if there has been any experiences positive or negative? Certainly new is better but I am always looking to save a few bucks if I can and am relatively new to super chargers. Thanks for your opinions.

Lot of people send the blower out back to manufacturer such as Procharger to go through it and give it a clean bill of health just to sell it with piece of mind.
I d be looking for such a unit.

Good advice, thanks. Seen a few used Whipples on the Corvette forums, just couldn't pull the trigger. Probably just going to wait and buy a new one during "phase" two of the project.

I've always bought used superchargers because I can't afford new ones. If there is ever an issue just rebuild it. When you buy it check the shaft for play and go from there.
