Default 68 Camaro auto to t56 magnum

Looking for some helpful advise . I'm about to switch from my current Ls 6L and auto, to an ls3 and t56 magnum. Can anyone give me some direction on whom might be a good choice to use as a supplier for a conversion on the t56 magnum? Looking for tranny and everything I need to make it go as smooth and organized as possible . Thanks in advance for your help

I've had good experiences with Hurst Driveline with my switch from an auto on my '68, both from the sales side and technical support. I have a 383 SBC and had to cut the transmission tunnel in order to raise the T56 enough to get the proper driveline angles, but not sure if that was due to my Morrison frame or SBC mounting height. Hurst gives a Lat-g discount so be sure to mention. I ended up getting a pre-fab Speedtech trans tunnel cover b/c I wanted to keep the stock center console:

Welcome Jason,

We're a Tremec dealer, and also deal with Silver Sport Transmissions, American Powertrain, and Bowler Transmissions.

They all have wonderful swap kits. We've sold and installed a lot of these transmissions in various cars.

We can help you choose a kit, feel free to PM me with any specific questions.. Or shoot me an email. I am out of the office until Tuesday next week unfortunately, so email would be best for now.

Hello Jason, we have engineered and sold a lot of these kits over the years. We are more than glad to assist with your project. As a bonus, we offer an additional industry leading warranty on Tremec transmissions that are purchased from Hurst Driveline Conversions. Please contact me Lee Roskam at 707-544-4761 at extension 469 so that I can answer any questions you may have.
