Default New Member, no current project.

Hello all, I live in Niles Illinois (just north of Chicago) and joined because I do design work, and one of my favorite things to design, is a G-machine.

I currently drive a 1993 Mustang (4 cyl and auto, which is in desperate need of ). I have few plans for that right now since I am putting together a new company. I started a company about 6 years ago designing aftermarket and oem parts for manufacturers. That went great until I invested about 25k into developing components for a company that ended up stiffing me on the bill, and since they are in China, I had basically no recourse, this wiped out my company and now I am going a different direction. I am developing turbo kits for late model American cars, Mustangs, Vettes, kappa based cars, GTOs etc. This has been slow going, as I was financially wiped out from that company by investing all of my time as well as a lot of money into the project.

If anyone lives near me and would like the occasional extra hand on a project or design work, feel free to email me. I have a 4 month old and a 6 year old, so time is a precious commodity. But I do need to do things I like too, so I would like to lend a hand on a wicked project, or actually design one and help build it.

I included a couple of quick sketches I did for a 93 Hatchback but I don't think that is the direction I would go with my car, as I designed in a targa top and the frame reworking that would be needed would be pretty excessive. I actually think instead I would go with air ride Tech air susp, mini tubs in back and a plain jane white paint job with black spoked wheels tucked a little bit. Maybe a 351 stroked with ITB fuel injection and a 6 speed.
