Default A Ford V8 from Norway

Hello guys, what's up. My name is Jan Samuelsen, i am 36 years old, and from Norway. I have loved american cars for as long as i can remember, and i envy you guys that have them all around 24/7. There's nothing like waking up to the soung of a well tuned V8 in the morning, right guys ?
Well, i am also into pro-touring, where a car is supposed to go around the corner as well. But my try may not be what you expect, so her we go.
My car started as a 1982 european Ford Granada 2,8 GL, witch has a V6 engine, same as Mustang II, 135 hp and a C3 automatic transmission.
It now has a 351 Windsor small block, with a Crane 222 degree cam, Gt40 alu-heads, Performer intake, Holley 600cfm, and headders followed by dual 2,5' exhaust. Behind it is a AOD overdrive trans, and the original IRS differensial with 3,64:1.
The chassis is modified with lowering springs (4 3/4 inch), and uprated shocks, and all the rubber bushings is replaced with poly bushes.
In the brake department, the original front 10,3 inch vented discs is replaced with 12,8 inch vented discs and 4 piston calliper from a -92 Mercedes 600 SEL.
It runs on 18 inch wheels with 225/40-18 tires and has a custom body kit.
I know this is far from a killer Pro-Touring car, but it's a start. What do you think? Be gentle.

Thanks, man. I'll tell you one thing: it sure turns a lot of heads, if not by the look, then by the sound. And it has a very high "smile pr mile" factor.
As far as fuel economi goes : it goes 20 miles to the gallon, and the fuel costs 7$ pr. gallon. But it is worth every penny.
If you try the link on the bottom, there is more pictures. It is in norwegian, but you understand the photos.

Well, it's not that bad. I used a G-Tech and measured 0-60 in 5,3 sec, and the 1/4 mile in 13,7 with 110 mph, But i had problems with a lot of wheelspin.
This is what the looked like from the factory:

And this is the european Ford Scorpio, from witch i used the bumpers

And here are some videos. These are from before i painted it, so it looked more like a sleeper:

Default This makes a lot of sense...

Now I know why you Scandinavians are such good Rally drivers - you are more comfortable driving a car sideways than you are in a straight line!

Yeah sure, anyone can drive in a straight line, but it's when you go sideways you feel alive, right? Its a track day coming up this weekend, so i guess i'll use up the rest of my rubber then .

Thanks Bill, i looked at your car here at the forum, it is bitchin, so coming from you, that means a lot. We may have high gas prices over here in Norway, but i still think you guys use more money on your cars. Awesome.

Hey... erm Thanks!!!!!! I wish they had a  smiley! Hey, how about you coming over and helping me finish it! Then we'll go for a cruise to the local car hang-out. I'll buy the beer if you buy the plane ticket!

Shiny Side Up!
