Default will they fit?
i am looking 255/45/17s on my 78 nova, will they fit on 17 by 7 or will i have to use 17 by 8s?

I doubt you will find a 255 tire that will mount to a 7" wide wheel. Looks like you will need the 17x8's just to get the tire on.

As far as fitting on a Nova, I am not sure how wide you can go.
