Default Surprised

I received a call from jason at Gale Banks, he wanted to know how the twin turbo kit was working out, that i had bought about 2 years ago, and if i had any problems with the set up. I was surprised there was still a company out there that still cared about there customers he has always been very help full with any questions i had in the past. I wish there was more companies out there who cared and that had products that worked. Thanks Jason for caring, your doing a great job.

Default Banks twin turbo

I have not had the great experience with my Banks turbo set up. I bought a brand new set up from a guy here on the sight that had never been taken out of the boxes. I asked him if it had the standard port exhaust manifolds and he said that is what he had ordered. Well when I went to mock things up the manifolds were the raised port version. I called Banks and Jason said there are plenty of heads those will fit and that was it. I called every major head manufacturer that I could think of and none of them make a head these manifolds will fit properly. I found some with raised exhaust ports, but the port and bolt holes are raised, the Banks manifolds raise the port above the bolt hole centerline. When called back and mentioned what I had found I was told tough luck.

I may not be the original purchaser, but Jason knows him and I kind expected a little more from a company of Banks size and the amount of money they spend on advertising. I bought this kit because it is a simple bolt on, now I am not sure what I am going to do and they no longer offer a fuel injection system to work on this system. A simple bolt has turned into a winter of fabrication if I decide to make this work.

I would like to know if anyone else out there has used this manifold and if I am out of line for being pissed.

when i first got my kit they sent me the same manifolds which would not work on my iron eagle 230 and i sent them back for the right ones no problems. the reason they don't handle the accel fuel injection is because accel kept making changes and not letting gale banks know of those changes, and as they would send the kits out to customers they would not bolt right on like they use to. but wait they have somthing in the works and jason will be posting it soon. what about selling the manifolds and getting there new design which are alot better setup ?? how ever the price is $3,000 with new inproved wastegates and the turbos angles out alittle bit more i think for valve cover clearance. good luck with the kit turbo charging is the way to go IMO.

Well if you received the wrong manifolds at one time they must have been sending the wrong manifolds out with their kits. I still haven't found a head these manifolds would work on. I have a new set of AFR 210s they won't work on. I would like to know if anyone else received these raised port manifolds with their kit and what they did.
