Goodguys-Pro's Pick changes

Bob Johnson had mentioned something about this on another site, so I did some research and found it listed on the Goodguys website. It's a step in the right direction if you ask me.

Goodguys Expand Pro's Pick for 2007
Five of the nation’s top hot rod builders will select special “Pro’s Pick” awards at certain 2007 Goodguys events. In addition to the long standing tradition of the Boyd Coddington Pro’s Picks, Rad Rides by Troy, Pinkees Rod Shop, Johnson’s Hot Rod Shop and Art Morrison Performance have stepped forward to join the Pro’s Pick arena. All of these hot rod shops will create hand crafted Pro’s Pick awards to be given to those rodders lucky enough to have their ride selected.

“This is an exciting program,” said Goodguys President Marc Meadors. “Boyd and his staff have set the bar extremely high for specialty event awards. With the additional participation from builders like Pinkees Rod Shop, Rad Rides by Troy, Art Morrison, and Johnson’s Hot Rod Shop, event participants can continue to be assured that the coolest awards in hot rodding will be provided at Goodguys events. This summer and fall are going to be awesome!”

At each 2007 national event, a special Goodguys “Pro’s Pick” parking area will be staged on Saturday from 8am to 2pm. Participants interested in vying for these specialty awards (and the Goodguys "Of the Year Awards") must park inside the Pro’s Pick area to be eligible to receive an award. Below is a list of the 2007 Goodguys National events which will have celebrity Pro’s Pick awards:

10th Colorado Nationals – June 1-3, The Ranch at Larimer Co. Fairgrounds, Loveland CO

19th Hot Rod Nationals – June 8-10, O’Reilly Raceway Park, Indianapolis, IN

1st NAPA Southern Nationals – June 15-17, Atlanta Motor Speedway, Hampton, GA
Pro’s Pick Awards Selected by: Johnson’s Hot Rod Shop (Alan Johnson)



2nd Nashville Nationals June 29-July 1st, Tennessee Titans Coliseum, Nashville, TN
Pro’s Pick Awards Selected by: Boyd Coddington’s Hot Rod Garage



10th PPG Nationals - July 13-15, Ohio Expo Center/State Fairgrounds, Columbus, OH
Pro’s Pick Awards Selected by: Boyd Coddington’s Hot Rod Garage



20th Pacific NW Nationals – July 27-29, Western Washington Fairgrounds, Puyallup, WA
Pro’s Pick Awards Selected by: Art Morrison Performance (Art Morrison)



15th Lone Star Nationals October 5-7 - Texas Motor Speedway, Fort Worth, TX
