Default Replacing front floor pan issue

ok I got everything mocked up and cut out. I'm replacing just the front, from the toe board to the begining of the seat frame brace. The new pan sections seem not to be deep enough where the toe board is and is about a half inch from the subrame brace. The orginal floor is spot welded to the braces.

I know these replacement are not perfect but will this cause a problem? the top half of the subframe brace will be welded and is apart of the firewall. Maybe I can make some shimes and weld the bottom part to the new pans??? I will post picks tomorrow. Thanks
