Question LS valve cover choice

help- I'm looking for a decent cover for an LS engine. Katech is backoreded- I don't like the welded race-car style- I am just looking for a clean aftermarket cover- no ball-milled 90's show car stuff- just a decent clean cover. any thoughts? no coil mounts

oh- no Carbon Fiber- that's what we are replacing

How about these from GMPP? I haven't seen them in person but they look similar to the Katech version.

I have seen those painted and polished. I think they look great. Nice and clean. I like them painted in a contrasting color to the body.

I really like the covers made by MAST, there a little different. Check them out.

There's also a number of other billet companies Nasty, Eddie, etc. I'd stay away from the one off customs. I just don't trust them.

What was your experience w the CF covers? Did they leak?

Chris,

I like the ones we got from Wegner on our engine. All billet. Nice stuff.

I'm waiting for a set of katech's also for the Donkey Kong Car. They told me last week they would have them soon.

Granatelli has some neat billet ones. Kinda spendy. Nasty performance has some neat billet one. Billet Specialties has a few nice ones also. I have been thinking about taking some of the fabricated cheapies and having then coated or painted a dark color and smoothing the welds. Or just having fabricated covers powder coated flat black with Flat black manifold.

It comes down to what you want to do with the coils, where to move them if you do.
