Default Procharger Fitment ???

Has anyone ran a F1 in a first gen camaro? Did it fit with the stock wheelwells? I mocked up my F2 from my other camaro, and there is now way it will fit.

Also, I plan on running an older accel DFI single plane manifold. It based on a strip dominator manifold. That being said, will the carb bonnet fit under a factory cowl hood?

Thanks.

My brother has the F1 and it fits in there fine. Also he has the factory hood and the bonnet fits under it as well.

Nice. Thanks. By chance, do you think there is a diffrence between the BBC F1 kit and the one your brother used.

Thanks again.

I am installing a D-1SC into a 1968 camaro with big block and 2" cowl hood. The inner fender is going to have to be trimmed. I also have an Aceel intake and Wilson elbow for the throttle body and I am having to mill the elbow by .75" and the intake by .22". This is what I am thinking it tales to fit this setup. Any suggestion or ideas would be appreciated.

you have to trim the inner fenderwell. The short Procharger hat will fit. The taller one I think did, but there would not have been a way to hook up the inlet tube unless you cut the inner structure of the stock hood or ran a fiberglass cowl (taller hat is up inside the round cowl hole in the hood). Possibly could angle mill the taller hat to get the inlet tube down enough to clear............... maybe.

Here are some pics of a 69 with a small block in standard location, with an
F1R, there was about an 1/8" of space to the inner fender from the blower. But it did fit with no trimming, and solid mouts were used on this one.

On another 69 with a SBC, a vick jr. and 800 hp holley. they would only fit under they stock cowl hood with the low proffile bonnet from
Pro Charger, the biggest draw back to the low hat is the boost drop of about 3 psi. it is super restrictive. And we had to cut a portion of the under support to clear the charge tube from the blower to carb.
the set pictured below fit under a 4" hood with no probs.
