here are some of my drawings. i am 14 and have a long way to go to be as good as most of you guys but here you go.sorry they are so light but i dont have a scanner so they dont look to good

We all started somewhere Alex. The perspectives look OK. The only thing I would say to concentrate on is proportion. The roof on the Camaro looks a little too squashed down but the 55 has a cool cartooney look to it. If you haven't done so already a great tutorial/reference book is by Thom Taylor called "How to Draw Cars Like a Pro" and I still keep it handy.

Keep drawing and keep posting work!

Those look great (Their already better than what I can do), and you have many years in front you to practice. The advise given in the previous post is really good.

For grins you might email some of the other Designers/Artist/Renderers in the, "Artwork" part of this site, and ask them what advise they could give you.

They stay pretty busy so don't get discouraged if it takes a while to get an answer. I have spoken to many of them through email and they were all very friendly.

Is that drawed direct from your head, or did you have pictures as references?

i had reference pics
the 56 is the red and white one that sombody owns and won a major award with cant remember. um i remember it had a big block and air cleaner through the hood like a shaker, had air ride and is on the flowmaster advertisements

i used chip fooses camaro as reference from the yearone advertisements.
and the impala i cant remember if i used reference or not.

and what is a good program to start out using on the computer to do renderings and stuff on?
i have been using autocad at school in my intro to engineering and drawing class.

The drawings are good. As far as renderings, AutoCAD is a bit out of date now although it will help in some ways. Try to get your hands on a copy of Pro Engineer. Sometimes you can talk them into a student trial version. Check out www.ptc.com

Drawings look pretty good. They have a nice "mass"(or solid) feel to them. Ditto with all the comments above. Auto cad is not very good for 3-D. If you check out the other topic, "calling all artists", several people listed what they use and the process they use. Seams Photoshop is a good one to go with.
Remember to keep drawing.

Looks like you're heading in the right direction! As Ben observed, your perspective is good, just need to work on the proportions... It's great to see that you have a handle on perspective, as that's a major part of this, and getting that right takes a lot of work.
Keep it loose and informal... don't try to nail the illustration on the first-go, but rather work up a loose sketch, and then refine your lines, cleaning up an extreaneous linework later on.
Great to see budding talent! Keep it up!

I started drawing cars regularly at the age of 12. What you have is a good start. Keep working on your skills.

A good book for you would be "How to Draw Cars the Hot Wheels Way"

I wish they had this book when I was your age! I think books are a great resource, as well as the internet. I sketch my cars, scan them and finish up in Photoshop. Keep it up and do not let ANYONE discourage you!

Save all of your drawings so you can go back and gage your progress over time.
