Default Magnaflow 3" on a lowered 69??

Hey guys I am getting ready to finish up my 69 and need to order an exhaust, but I was concerned with the fit with my setup which is as follows..

69 camaro lowered in the rear with DSE 3" drop springs (mini tubbed)
front 427 BB with hooker super comps lowered with QA1's.

Do you think this system with fit with no issues??? I hate to cut up a nice stainless system if I could get something else that would fit better.

thanks

justin

check these pics out of 69 we just finished...car sits pretty low and it has DSE mini's with ladder bar suspension...
hooker super comps, the mufflers are dynamax bullets and 3" all the way back.
I just ordered up some 3" mandrel bends some striaght tubing and went at it...took me two solid 8 hr days.....

awsome, thanks for the info. I called DSE and they told me they thought it would fit. I hope it looks as good as yours. Does the 3" make a big difference in sound???

personally I like 3" over 2 1/2". the bigger tubes are not as raspy and usually are a much deepper tone as well.

I have not used the Magnaflow 3" on a mini tub yet. But it looks like it would fit. We have been selling and using Magnaflow quite a bit lately. I really like the sound. The 57 we just finished has it and I love it. I would go 3" if the car is making 500 or more ponies.

Why 500 or more H.P'S? ( not being a S/A just wondering why 500) I have a ZZ4 (355 H.P) in my Nova and am switching from Flowmasters to Magnaflows, was thinking about going to 3 but I seen your reply and was curious.Thanks.

The reason Frank suggests 3" for 500+hp, is to prevent a hp loss due to a restrictive exhaust flow. Ive seen as much as a 20hp loss when 2.5 inch system is used on a 500+hp mill. Especially on crimp bent pipes. With the hp you mention a nice mandrel bent 2.5" system should be more than adiquite.

I just bought a set of Magnaflow 3" for my pro street and look forward to hearing them jingle!
Main reason i bought them is there fitment for my set up im running fenderwell headers and they will be on the outside of my frame rails tuck up under the car, mated to a 406 215 cc Dart alumin heads 6" rods and a single pnae 750
Hows those bullets sound on your ride? look good
