Default Chassis dyno'd the Fairlane today..

If you remember the 408 put out 552hp and 530 lb-ft-tq on the engine dyno at Westech.

I wanted to back up that number so with the engine installed we strapped her down to thier Superflow chassis dyno.

After a little bit of tuning (a bit rich at cruise, went from 73/73 jets to 76/70) we had a good repeatable number.

448.3 rear-wheel HP and 405.4 rear wheel torque!!

I'm very happy with this.. considering the 9" rear that's a very respectable drivetrain loss and I should be able to knock down some good times. Also, the Ford pulls like a freight train. In fact the street tires just go up in smoke.

I think I have a shot at taking down the big-block Chevelle

Congrats! Is the rear wheel number about the same as what Bad Penny did?

More.. Penny put down just over 440 rwhp and 396 rwtq .. with 44 less cubes.. and on a Mustang dyno which tends to read on the conservative side.

Still, was very happy with the numbers from the Fairlane. My gauges should be here next week then it's track time. I guess I'm going to need to mount up them ET Streets.
