Default Sorting out the car

Well so far the weekend has been pretty good. The car has only little issues at this point, but those should quickly go away. The water injection is lightly leaking. The wheels have to go, and Ill post photos when I get them. I get a vibration above 100mph and I can tell it's the wheels. So I'm sorting out the car, and who pulls up next to me in his vette but Aris "ill Steez" on highway. We give the cars a quick run though the gears and it was fun. He yells at me from a stop light and tells me who he is. He has a nice zo6 c6. It's funny how this forum has people everywhere. Good to meet you on the road Aris. See you again soon.
But the car is almost there, just a few tweaks here and there.

Concerning the wheel/tire vibration... have a knowledgeable operator of a Hunter GSP9700 roadforce balancer run all your wheels & tires through the roadforce/runout variation matching sequence.

I have seen tires that otherwise look fine have excessive roadforce variations. They balanced fine on a standard spin balancer but shook like crazy once installed on the vehicle... slapped it on a Hunter and found the tire was defective.

That could be a problem as well. I know one of my wheels has 40 thousands run out, and the other has 20. On the dyno I can see the run out on one of them, that's why I'm going with all new wheels and rubber. I'm going to send the boyd's back to be fixed, and then give them to my dad on his 55 bel air project. I'm hoping they will fit.

Yeah it's not too bad at all right now. That subframe has been fighting us though. Cut weld, slice, repair, add stuff ect. I think it's finally sorted out. The power feels great, and sounds nasty. It's just a mean, fast loud bastard. Best way to put it. Still needs a few little things, but we are very very close.
