I would stay as close to home as possible. I bought mine in North Carolina. There was many a day I needed to pay a visit.

Just had a buddy get a 496 620/650 from a builder in CO Shipping was 250 from CO to NC. Came with warrantee. Same grunt as a 572 GM crate for half the cost - final cost depends on final config but still my buddy ended up well under the cost of a GM crate. I looked at the Dyno numbers and it had a awesome HP and TQ curve - I was amazed. If you call him .. tell'm Pat from NC recommeded. My friend 'Pat' actually called people who had bought engines from him prior to purchasing.

ebay seller ID ... vortecpro
example (buddy didn't use ebay but you can read-up / contact). http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/454-4...spagenameZWDVW

Yeah, Shafiroff Racing Engines are available out of New York- they build some SWEET engines. We run one in our SuperComp dragster, a proven winner that keeps on going! Nice product, friendly staff.
