Default long story, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I joined this forum almost two years ago maybe even longer. I own a 69 camaro and a 99 camaro. I was an E-4 at the time not making much money, at the time all i had was my 69 when i blew the tranny. I did not have the money to repair at the time so i stored it. It pretty much stayed there for the next couple years. I did not know much then but i have come a long way since then. Over a year ago i made E-5 and bought a 99 z28 with the intention of fixing up the 69 pro touring style, but i got scared of messing it up and regretting it. So i began modding the 99 and realized i really wanted a twin turbo car. So of course i started buying all the stuff for the 99. I went to a shop and put my money into it and bought alot of stuff. All of this was happening while i was on deployment. I got back and nothing was done. I was angry but the owner was the only one there, he had just recently highered a familiar face in the ls1 community and he was churning out some good work. So i kept faith, but i drove my car around for the next 4 months until i went on my next deployment to drop it off. I am currently on the deployment and he fired the guy and is going bankrupt because he is doing nothing. I have my friends going there this week to pick up all my stuff and car before it is too late. Now i am out at least 12 grand and jack has been done to my car. I am going to take legal action to get my money back, but i am afraid that it is not going to happen, because i am not the only one.........
This really sucks.........
I am going to install all parts for my 99 myself or maybe sell them, but now i have to put my interior back in because i took it all out to get the roll cage put in.
No i am done trying to mod the 99, i feel like quitting, but dammit i want my twin turbo car. I have the turbo kit, and hopefully a certain shop has my short block. I will find out on monday when i get a chance to call them from some random country.
Now i remember seeing i think retro rides used a 4th generation chassis on a 69, i would just want to use the front clip and maybe a quadra link in the back. The reason for that is i bought an aps twin turbo kit for the f-body and it was designed around the second generation bmr k-member. I now want to put this into my 69 and make it a pro-touring beast like i should have done in the first place.
So that is my question, how much work does it take to put a 4th gen front clip on, and would it make the car able to handle good. Or is there an aftermarket company that makes something that i would be able to put a bmr k-member on it. Or would that mess up the front end geometry for the car?

Sorry for the long story guys just had to vent a little. Thanks for any advice tips or help.

the cars are so different, that is really not feasable, there is no reason to try to do this swap i am sure you could make the turbo system work in the 1st gen. the gen 4 car uses a strut front end and yea don't waist your time thinking about it

Listen to Blake! It would be better to put your energy into making the TT kit work in the '69 as is. Or you could sell this TT kit and do a custom install if it looks like that might be a better way in the end.

I think there are probably better (easier) ways to make the 69 handle well than all the chopping you are considering. Cage the 69, aluminum body mounts, Del-a-lum or other bushing in the arms, do the Guldstrand mod for the UCAs, get a better alignment (as Guldstrand recommends), put a IROC quick ratio steering box in it, etc, some good sway bars from your favorite source.

Check out David Pozzi's website for lots of great information on First Gen suspension, brakes, etc. pozziracing.com I think is the addy. Good luck, and don't give up!

A twin turbo LS1 would be sweet in the 69

thanks for the responses guys. Yeah my head is not on straight, i wasn't even considering the fact that there would be alot of custom fabbing to mount everything back on..................I'm just a bit frustrated. I guess custom piping would be better then hacking away. I really would like to keep the turbo kit if possible, but i guess only time will tell when i get to that point....

I also would rather not stick with the stock subframe even a modded stock one. From calculations that i have done it would cost damn near the same to just go ahead and buy a new aftermarket one. I guess i will start searching into which one will be best for me.
