Default Help choosing Master Cylinder for Hydroboost

I'm working on accumulating parts for a 4 wheel disk swap onto a '68 Camaro.
I'll be using stock 2000 Fbody calipers and rotors. The hydroboost I recently picked up is from a '90 Astro van. I've seen people mention a MC from a '99+ 4x4 S-10. Is there a particular reason why this MC is better than others? Is it possible to use the MC from the same '99 Camaro Donor? I'd like to stick with a commonly available stock replacement for ease of replacement if anything fails.
The biggest reason I don't like the Astro unit is it's dual reservoirs. If I can simply replace it, rather than the MC as well, I'd be open to that as well.

I apologize if this seems to be a simple question, I haven't pieced together a braking system until now and want to make sure I'm happy with my final decision.

Thanks for your help!

Default MC for hydroboost

Most any MC from a 4 wheel drive 99 up S10 or Blazer (or varient) will work. I'm using a MC from a '00 s-10 (ZQ8) for mine with an 70s+ Astro van hydroboost....Jim

Thanks for the reply. I'm finding first hand experience rather sparse when it comes to piecing together this system. What calipers are you using? Is there any particular reason you're using this master cylinder? What is the difference between this unit and the comparable 2wd S-10 part?

They know their stuff, have really nice products, and will shoot you a good price. I've used them a number of times with great success, and they should be able to take good care of you.

Default MC for Hydroboost

Rhino; Do a search on any S10 forum for hydroboost and you'll have more info than you want. I've built a pro touring type '00 S10 Xtreme with an LS1 motor. I'm using LE1 front discs ('00 up Camaro 12") and calipers. I'm also using a '02 8.8 Ford Explorer rear complete with discs. The Xtreme uses the ZQ8 option suspension, MC, and proportioning valve. It will put your teeth out on the dash real quick. I hope that helps....Jim PS this pic was last year before the Hydroboost was installed. I'm going out this weekend to buy another camera and with post the swap then.
