Default Mod to DSE LCA

Just purchased dse speed kit II with the understanding they were not easy to adjust but did perform very well. What I would like to do is cut the bottom of the cup where the coil over mounts to.. Then have a 5/8 x 5/8 ring machined, tapped and welded to lca flush where I cut the plate from. Then bolt the shock plate to the machined ring.(using grade 8 bolts/locking nuts) This would allow you to pull the plate/shock and adjust very easy. Does any body see any negatives other than a slight weight gain to LCA. Hopefully I can talk to Kyle next week. If any body would like I can post pics tomorrow
