Last year when I got the LS1 swap finnished it was time for the regular inspection, it is every second year for older cars here.
The inspectionperson refused to give my car approval becuase I have passed the limit for changes on the car. The engineswap, brakes and 17" wheels was to much to just get through.
That required a more thorougly inspection by a special organisation that inspect modyfied or built cars, mostly streetrods and alike.
Now the last week I have been doing those inspections and now my car is fully legal. All modification are in the papers registered at the trafficauthorities. It lists all stuff that are on the car, like C4 discbrakes, 5.7L Chevy Ls engine, SpeedTech controlarms, subframeconnectors and so on. No cop can complain on my car having to large wheels or anything else. And if they do a search in their system all is in the records on my car and approved by the inspection agency
Feels good to have everything in the clear.
The guy doing the first inspection had a moment when he tested the brakes. This test involves driving in 40mph and doing a full stop. He was stunned beyond belief, my brakes was better than anything he had ever tested. His G-meter almost went to 1G.
Now I will drive it a lot, long trips of enjoyment and some tracktime as well.
