Default Deck lid torsion rods

I need an explanation of how the torsion rods are installed.
Any techniques to apply, Which one in L R etc.
Pics appreciated.

Hey Pete, I will try to guide you through this without pics.

You just have to get in the trunk with a light and make sure it won't lock on you. A little cresentwrench on the flat stock will open it you lock it accidentally.

Put the end of it in the hole on the hinge and then swing it into place onthe other side of the trunk. put it on the pivot point and then put it in one of the adjusting points for tension. One goes on before the other and you will know when you do it right or wrong.

If you need pics I will have to take some and post for you.

Have fun cause it's a pain in the side.

You might be able to do it standing on the outside of the trunk but I am not certain anymore as it was years ago I put mine back in. I think I actually had no trunk pan at all when I installed them.
