i talked to the guys at bowtieoverdrives and they actually recomended NOT using aircooled tranycoolers only, and if they were used to route the return trany fluid thru the radiator to get the fluid up to the correct temperature, and as fast as possible!!
your tranny is designed to run at engine coolant temperature, not cold like it would if you ran a trannycooler only... so unless you do alot of heavy towing and keep your tranny out of lock-up... the heat exchanger in the radiator is just fine! (just dont run the return hose/tube right next to the exhaust unshielded)
