Default Tko with a small block chevy

This might be a silly question but here goes...
I have a 1st gen with a sbc350 with 4.11 gears and my plan is to drive it. Cuising mostly but maybe some track time. This weekend I took the car out on a pretty long highway drive and the gas mileage along with the whine at 70 mph I started to think about my options so here i am. Does anybody run a tko5 or 6 with a similar set up??? Pros/Cons??? Thanks guys!

I would say either get 3.73s put in (I assume you have the .64 overdrive TKO) or run a T56 with your current gears.

I will be running the .64 TKO with my procharged small block with 3.70 rear gears.

yes i have sbc 350 with tko600 5 speed .64 5th gear , i started out with a 3.70 but changed to 4.11 , could have gone to a 4.56 with no problem. it only raised my rpm about 200 changing from 3.70 to 4.11. when i had the 3.70 i was running about 2000 rpm in 5th at 70mph ,now im running about 2250 with the 4.11's. where is your powerband on the motor? mine starts at about 3000 rpm. my motor is a full roller 350 430hp. most of my friends still have their 4 speed and all i hear is them wanting to change to a 5 speed. good luck on your choice.
