Default Made It To Sema!!!

Well it was a last minute trash but the car is done! I can't even begin to thank all the people that made this car happen. So many people came through to get it done. Even the last night we thrashed all night- JayR and Brett worked until 7:00am and we pulled it out and washed it- We put it in the trailer and hit the road. I NEVER got to see it in the daylight until Vegas

- Friday night

Default First Time seeing the car in daylight

Jared from http://www.j-rodandcustom.com/- cut and buffed the car and loaned me the trailer

On Location here at SEMA- right by the front door... that is another cool story for later.. Got the car parked and within 30 minutes Hot Rod TV filmed it and I got an offer for a magazine shoot. I can't believe we are here

Good on ya, brother! It was all worth it and BTW, it was 8AM! We were washing in the dark at 7! It looked incredible driving down your street into the trailer at dawn and I only wish I had been coherent enough to snap some pics but the ones you just posted made up for that! Can't wait to see it tomorrow at the show.

For those of you who haven't watched Chris' thread, this is a real homebuilt car that is in the SEMA show! The only thing Chris didn't do in his garage is spraying the silver but we sprayed the red stripes at his house and he subbed out covering the seats and doing the exhaust to a good friend who is a master with tubing. Chris and that car are the real deal and I'm stoked for him to be living the dream!

wow - car looks great! Congrats on the offer from Hot Rod as well. I always start the show right inside the doors behind you so I will walk right by it and scheck it out. 'Course I walk the whole show minus the stereo tuner crap and see 'em all but it's good to have a target here and there

Funny, I was never into 7s or 8s, only the 69s but recent history and a few cars on this site (all of them will be at SEMA) have opened my mind big time. My friend has always wanted one of the early years and now I am diggin' it - in fact he was just asked by a guy to final assemble his 67 vert Pro-Tour so I will probably be helping him a bit with that. I told my friend that instead of pay make the guy agree to let him have the car 6 weekends a year
