Default Help with LS2

Hello,

I am putting a LS2 in a 1971 Camaro, and was wondering if the front accessory drive system from a 2007 Trailblaser ss will work. I have found a great deal on the set-up but not sure if it will work.

any help would be great.

Thanks

What is the LS2 out of? I have a LS2 in my Trailblazer SS with the front accessory drive.

Just a thought.

Your TBSS uses a truck intake, which is taller than car intake.

Hello,

My crate motor is corvette style, and it will be going in a 1971 Camaro.

looking at the images attached to the above link I think it will be a problem.

TB clearance on the shorter intake!. But I hope I am wrong cause the price is

really good.

Thanks

Any LS2 drive system will bolt to any LS based engine... for example, I'm running an LS1 f-body drive system on my LS2.

Just make sure you have EVERYTHING the same.. from the balancer to the water pump.

Really? I wonder why.. I can't see how the intake affects the drive system.

Then again, I'm not an expert on truck drive systems. lol

Learn something new every day.

Hmmm.. I see the problem now.

But, having looked at the truck drive system it seems pretty unattractive. With so many junked Camaros and Vettes out there I would think you find one of their systems pretty cheap. Check Ebay?

Try Shaun over at SMC. Sometimes he has GM seconds and overstocks. It's were I get my stuff.
