Default QA1 Double Adjustable Coil Over Assembly

ok, this just su***.

i bought 4 DDR4885 coil- overs from QA1 and ordered the 10" springs with it which are recommended.

I received them now and realized i should have ordered the 9", because the 10" wont install easily .... it is not possible installing the upper hat without compressing the spring .... which is not easy with a 500# spring ....

the 9" would install just like that no worries, but the 10" is just a bit too long.

how did you guys do it i have no mechanical spring clamp which would work. i need a method that leaves the springs and shocks nice finish untouched.

Default great idea !

great & cheap method :

if you dont have a spring compressor, u can use a hydraulic press .... compress spring by one inch, use 1/2" nylon tie straps (4 x ) so spring remains in this length, and install spring.

adjust coil-over for zero gap and just pinch the straps ... that worked great for installation ... disassembly would still be a problem ...
