Default Help with ATS Spindles

I have a pair for my 69 Cam (tall version)--have had for awhile and they remain uninstalled. Am wondering if the wheel position remains exactly the same as stock. Seem to remember that they are suppossed to. I've had to work very hard to get everything to fit correctly on the car and am hoping that the wheel won't be pushed out any further than it is when I do install. Was hoping to go with Baer Brakes when I made the spindle change. Anyone have the same setup that can comment?

If they do alter the wheel position, I will put them up for sale here--just don't lie to me because you want me to sell

Thanks!!

Doug

Did you remove disc brake hubs or drum brake hubs?

Mike, the car came with disc brake spindles. I have replaced (currently) with Heidts 2 inch drop setup. These didn't seem to move them out from the stock position.

Doug
the spindles are about 3/4 to 7/8 " drop over a stock spindle, but do not move the wheel in or out.
we swapped a set on to our test car and no issues.
you should have no problems

Great--thanks Blake! Looks like the brakes are next on the agenda then.

Thumbs up

Like others have said, it won't increase your track width. The only time it would is if you were changing from drum hubs to disc style (that's why Mike asked).
