Default Inner cowl fitment - Help!

Need some guidance on inner cowl figment. Driver side fits pretty well from firewall back. Passenger side doesn't. I can't seem to find any interference to cause this, but can't seem to get it to draw up even with screws. Any tips? This doesn't seem "close enough" to me.

Drivers side

I got it to fit pretty well courtesy of some bigger self tapping screws. Its all welded up and I'm happy. Still anxious over the dash panel as I want the front glass to fit perfectly. I guess that is what the sealant is for though.

Mine fit the same way. I built an alignment jig off of the original cowl and fit the new one in using the jig. I had big gaps like that as well. Once I got it tacked in several places, I just took a hammer to those edges and tried to hammer them down as best that I could so that I could weld it to the supporting structure.

Think of it like a trim carpenter would...nail it and caulk it!
