Default 496 Stroker, T56 Magnum Install

Well the time had finally come to shoe-horn my engine and tranny in and let me tell ya it was tight!
We must have dropped the motor in twenty times before we had all the clearance issues resolved. its all good now.

Thanks
Ive got Stainless Works headers that are made to work with the Unisteer rack n pinion steering. The headers are bent so only one shaft is used to go through the header to the steering rack. I put a header in and its a perfect fit. The headers also have 2 inch primary tubes so they will flow real good for the bigger cubed stroker.
Rodger at Speed Tech brought them in for me.

Here's a picture of the drivers side header. Lots of room with out the steering box there.

Oh ya the mirror's will get painted. lol The car is headed back to the body shop for the final touch ups here in a month or so. Just wanted to get it running with the fender and hood back on first. Then its time for the final paint touch up's and a good cut polish.

Thanks Im getting excited now. The mechanical end of things is all most done. The rear brake lines need finishing and a little more wiring on the fans and stuff but it is real close to adding fluids and the first fire up.
I need some rims and rubber next.
