Default Project : Ramp Truck 1966 F-600

More of a driver for now but plan is (once I finish my 2 current projects)
To turn this into a Ramp Truck to haul the Projects.

Seeing as though others just drove across country with one thought I would at least share what I just found.

1966 F-600 with only 5400 Miles!

In heated storage since new

361 2v

Clark 5-spd

2 Speed Eaton Rear Axle

20,000 lb GVW

This is original down to the TIRES! Only thing replaced is the spark plugs, pretty sure at least 50% of air in tires is still Original . . HAHA

Just got it cleaned up today will post a few better pics in next day or so.

First trip to gas station, plan is 1st outing this weekend @ GoodGuys

I did pull seat and floor mat for a bit of cleaning. 48yrs of dirt but looks great.
It was well taken care of.

Also a pic of when truck was new.

It would be nice to find someone who could do a rendering for me of what the Ramp Truck may look like when done.

Kind of crappy cell phone pics.

Just not enough FORDS here . . . hahaha

I don't know about the ramp aspect, the trucks just do damn clean as is !!!. I'd find a trailer to match and go that route.

Its a great find nonetheless.....

Something like this would be very cool but you will have to lengthen the frame a considerable amount.

Thanks All!

Made it out to GG Scottsdale today.

I heard 2500 vehicles showed

On way home the FT started to run a bit rough.
Found a center electrode on #3 plug had moved towards end of plug closing up the plug gap!

Show Pics tomorrow . . .

While sitting at GG the County Commissioner texted me a couple pics of trophy's the dept won in last couple years showing the truck.
These show it was still in use last year.

Also a couple other pics taken at show. Poor lighting but . . .

I am very excited to own this piece of History!
